Since its inception in 1983, TANGO has developed and array of formidable partners in and outside the Gambia. We have cultivated a trusted partner status with them and continue to nurture and enjoy these partnerships.

The Government of the Gambia has always been a key partner which whom we still enjoy very cordial working relations. The Government has come to realize that the role and contribution that NGOs make to national development continues to grow exponentially, thus enabling the country to achieve its development goals as enshrined in the Vision 2020, development blueprints (PRSP) and the MDGs.

The UN system in the Gambia also continues to partner with TANGO and its members in various ways and degrees. NGO contribution to the achievement of the UNDAF programs has been immense.

There also exists robust partnership and networking among NGOs in the country as well as with sister organizations outside of the country. Over the years TANGO has also received support in partnerships with the Commonwealth Foundation, the Commonwealth Secretariat.
