The Association of non-governmental organisations (TANGO) proudly and successfully hosted the Gambia civil society excellence awards night 2026, a landmark celebration recognizing outstanding contribution to national development and social transformation. funded by the UN PEACEBUILDING FUND through UNFPA THE GAMBIA, the awards night brought together a powerful cross section of stakeholders committed to advancing peace, inclusion and sustainable development. The event convened representatives of the Government of the Gambia, the UN Country Team, the private sector, leaders of civil society organisations and youth actors working across diverse areas of development. Their presence reflected the shared commitment to strengthening civic engagement, good governance and people centered development. The NGOCSO awards night 2026 served not only as a platform to honour excellence, innovation and impact within civil society, but also as a space for collaboration, dialogue and renewed partnerships towards a more inclusive and resilient Gambia.
