The Association of Non-Government Organizations in The Gambia (TANGO) held its Annual General Meeting on March 20-21, 2023. This annual event serves as an opportunity for our diverse members to come together, cross geographic, thematic, and organizational boundaries, and scrutinize the activities and audited financial reports of the Association in line with the Constitution. During the AGM, we were pleased to welcome nine new members into the TANGO consortium.
In addition to admitting new members, the AGM also marked the end of the previous board's term and the elections for new board members. The newly elected board members are a group of dedicated individuals with a range of skills and experiences, and we look forward to working with them to promote transparency, accountability, inclusivity, partnership, and diversity across The Gambia.
The new board members are:

● Mrs. Awa Janneh Lewis (GFPA)- Member
● Mr. Babucarr Senghore (YAFSSE)- Member
● Mr. Alieu Sowe (NACOFAG)- Member
● Mr. Idrissa Keita (TOSTAN)- Member
● Mr. Lamin Jarjusey (RFH)- Member
At TANGO, we believe that transparency, accountability, inclusivity, partnership, and diversity are critical to achieving our mission.
